where does the power for the trunk light come from ?

Default where does the power for the trunk light come from ?
my trunk light quit and the bulb is fine. No power to the socket. Where is the switch and power come from ?

Switch is inside the lock mechanisim on the trunk.

So thats what the thing hanging off the thunk latch is that has wires running to it is....

Without a manual on me..

Test for power coming into the connector and continutiy through the switch when actuated.

and BTW......the power for the trunk light is a constant 12V......it works off a ground, NOT power
