Exclamation Problem with the Check Monitor & ABS & Traction Control

Hi Guys,

i readed a lot but nothing helped me.

I have a 93 SSEi with some electrical Problems.

At first it ever tells me stupip things about my lights on the Check monitor.

When i turn the lights on, it tells me:

Tail light, Head Light, High Beam. just what i turn on... when i turn on the turn signals it tells me also : turn signal light. also the brake lights... BUT

ALL my lights work! I cleaned all contacts and changed every bulb in the headlights and taillights but nothing changed. It only tells me lights, nothing else, all other sensors work like they should. but it'* very anoying when i drive and ever when i brake or turn the light on the the car "gongs" and tells its broken...

I also had a look at the ground bus but this one looks like new...

Is there any place i should look for that i may forgot?

The other thing i have is the problem with the ABS and Traction Control lights on.

Both light up all the time. i checked the contacts on the wheel sensors, they are clean. is there any way to check what it is? Maybe the ATE Brake Control box or the Wheelsensor?

aaaah, i forgot, another problem i had a time ago, my Airbag Control Computer burned up and i have to pull it out. is this a typical problem? I buyed a new one and when i put it in it burned up the same way in just a few seconds. is there a known problem?

I hope you can help me.

Sorry for the long text.

Best wishes from Germany and thanks a lot!!!

Manni

ps: i hope you all understand my english

pps: I have a sunroof in my Bonne, and all the drains had been pulled... i reinstalled them and changed the doorseals complete, but after a heavy rain or a car wash it'* a bit wet under the drivers carpet. not much, but i will fix it. is there any known fix for that? i have no holes ander there and no rust. i think it comes from under the windshield or the firewall, but i cannot see anything when i try it myself...

Do you have a center trunk light? How about a eye level brake light. My trunk lid lights got me for a while. Also check your license plate light.

Hi. Thanks for your reply.

My License Plate lights work fine. i've got an 3rd Brake Lamp and it also ever tell me that this also not works. but it works fine... i also have seen that the tail light message goes on and off all the time. just like blinking... all contacts are in great shape and all bulbs are brend new. also the ones in the third brake lamp and the license plates lights and the trunk light itself..... also the bulbs in the headlights.

so where can i search??

Thanks a lot.

Manni

I think there is a ground bus in the trunk area. Start checking all the ground buses and clean them up.
