wierd elec problem(trunk release)
ok, so the kid on my dorm floor has a 94 SSE. He has the wierd wiring problem with his trunk. I'll start with some notes. His key doesn't work for the tunk supposidily. His door button is jammed. The only way he can get into his trunk is the fob. until now...
When he goes from Park to OD it pops open. Reverse to OD it pops open. BUT if he goes from P/R to anything below OD and then back upto OD, it stays closed.
any ideas?

You say the button is jammed huh? Have him pull it..(gently pry one side) and unstick it.
His neutral safetly is probably a little outta whack so the car isn't sure what it'* in..therefore with the switch pressed all the time, when the car sees the proper gear selection it'll pop.
Fix the switch. If he needs one...you'll get him one while at Bfest...

ok, so I went out to his car with him because I wanted to check the button status personally. I pulled the button , pushed it back out, played with it, and out came the button pice w/ no spring/return. Which would be why it was stuck on
side note: had to jump his car.
