Default fuse blows when under load

Hi all, My 93 SSEi will blow the fuse that controls the fuel pump, oil pressure sensor, etc. Replaced oil pressure sending unit, worked fine for couple of weeks but yesterday when pulling away from a light it happened again

sounds like an intermittant short or corrosion in a wiring harness. have you done any continuity and resistance checks with a DMM?

We haven't tested any wiring, just went through the trouble shooting in the service manual....the car appears to have more wires than an aircraft, we were hoping to avoid it! Thx

From my experiences with electrical problems, checking the wiring may be tedious, but it'* a sure way to find your problem. Just don't pay someone to do it or you'll be losing an arm and possibly a leg.

Are the toes usually included with the leg cause someone owes me and I just want to know what I'll be getting cause I got a family to feed and all.

That fuse also goes to the ignition control module and supplies the power to the ignition coils. I'm wondering if your coils are drawing too much current?

Why would coils draw too much current? Sounds expensive! My husband thinks it'* a short of some kind, but that worries me, thinking some wire is arcing in there somewhere...

Coils are not too expensive - try:

Can you see any sparks around them?
