A ton of intermittent ODB codes- 2000 Chevy Malibu LS
7 Attachment(s)
Decided to test my new droid app, and ran a scan of current codes, which are none. No current check engine light.
Ran another scan for intermittent codes, and got a bunch.. where do I even start troubleshooting with something like this? Do I break it down system by system and look there? or does there seem to be a larger order to all of the chaos? I do current have quite a few performance issues such as slow acceleration from stop/ when trying to speed up to switch lanes... stuttering when accelerating ( struggles to pick up).. noticed the engine noticeably colder as of late but will pick up to operating temp at idle. Took the snapshots on my droid, dont know why theyre so big 211,000k miles on a 2000 Chevy Malibu LS https://www.gmforum.com/attachment.p...ine=1462247199 https://www.gmforum.com/attachment.p...ine=1462247199 https://www.gmforum.com/attachment.p...ine=1462247199 https://www.gmforum.com/attachment.p...ine=1462247199 https://www.gmforum.com/attachment.p...ine=1462247199 https://www.gmforum.com/attachment.p...ine=1462247199 https://www.gmforum.com/attachment.p...ine=1462247199 |
Ummm, I think you did something wrong. Or you got a wacky adapter. What are you using?

Mike is right, that is far too many codes to be legit. I would simply clear codes and wait for another code to pop in.

I have this scan tool And am using car gauge pro for my droid. Connected the device to the adapter, selected "GM", selected "power train". went into the diagnostics section, scanned for current codes, none, intermittent codes- resulted in a bunch that must be stored in the pcms history. I am having performance issues as well, but that is a pretty big list of issues to look for. But I'll take the suggestion of resetting everything and report back with an update soon |
All faults were cleared in the ECU. rescanned while riding, and got a similar list of codes, maybe a few missing from the entire list. but most of them are still there.

No, something is either wrong with the adapter, or the software in the phone. You can't have a lean bank 1 and a rich bank 1 at the same time. I think you are just seeing the list of available codes for your ECU.
Go to autozone and have them do a quick scan to see what they see. |
