Default Third Brake Lamp On/Off Intermittently

My third brake lamp will work and not work intermittently. I think it might be the ground. Does anyone know where the ground would be and the best way to get to it, or any other ideas of what might be causing the problem?

I believe you need to pull the rear deck off and check the wiring and bulb. You might find the element in the bulb is flopping a little and needs to be replaced.

The deck is removed by pulling the back seats and a few clips.

Ummm second thought...You can get to it another way..I think through the trunk.

there is a access hole in the trunk to get to the bulb, not necessary to pull the rear deck
