Default 95 Bonne SE w/ no parking lights or cluster

My 95 has developed another issue related to wiring (go figure). I had replaced the headlight switch w/ the correct one for a 95 before I knew to use the 96+ style. It worked fine. Now for some reason when I pull the **** out to the 1st stop I get no parking/running lights, no cluster backlighting at all, and it does not chime if the door is open. All other electrical things work fine (interior door lights, radio, horn, etc..). When I pull it out all the way I get headlights, parking/corners everything works including the cluster backlighting.

I have checked all fuses in panel and under the hood and none are blown. Tried swapping them around just to be sure. Is this just a case of the headlight switch going bad again? Keep in mind that I do like to drive around w/ just my parking/corner lights on even during the day, so it may have eaten the new switch. I've tried playing w/ the rheostat and they still won't come on. Only when I have the headlights on do I get everything.

Any ideas before I go out and buy the 96+ style switch? BTW, I have no twilight sentinal or autolamps.

RESOLUTION- Replaced the switch w/ the 96 style. Everything works again. The new 95 style switch that I had recently installed was fried as well.

Question is, where did you find the "new" 95 switch? Or was it a used one? GM had a recall on the 95 switches. Suppose to be deleted from inventory and replaced with a different design.

Oreillys carries it apparently. Now the only issue I have to figure out is how to get the **** to match. The 95 style had a thread-on part that the **** cover went onto, and this one does not. Guess I'll look in a junkyard and see if I can find a 96+ that will work.
