Still working bugs out of GXP gauge cluster

I installed the cluster about 6 months ago and have just been driving it as it is. I am currently running the GXP cluster in my car but it shows the incorrect mileage and gives a Low Coolant light on startup. I can have the mileage readjusted but I don't know if I can have the Low Coolant light removed. I am wondering if I can remove just the DIC from my original cluster and install it in the GXP cluster. Would this work? Will this solve my problem or will it cause more? Could I possibly transplant all of the guts from the original to the GXP cluster? I would really like to get this fixed and I would rather not have to re-install the old cluster.

Still looking for some help with these gauges. I am considering pulling the dials off to swap the guts. Has anyone done this before? How do they come off(or do they)?

For the mileage, I think that there's a module in the back of the cluster that retains the mileage that you probably could have swapped, and you would have been good from the get go. I imagine that it would have applied in your case. Water under the bridge now, but this threads talk about that http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...hlight=cluster

Not sure how to advise on the low coolant issue. It might just be an incompatibility on the databus. Does someone have the schematics from the different cars that can elaborate?

Thanks. I swapped the chip right off before the first install. It gives me the correct odometer reading but throws the speedometer off which drove me crazy. I then reinstalled the GXP chip and am currently showing the wrong odometer reading, a low coolant light, but the speedometer is correct. I want the best of everything, no low coolant light, correct odometer, and correct speedometer. If I could get the low coolant figured out I could send the GXP chip in to have the mileage adjusted to the correct 86k miles. Right now I am considering pulling the dials off of both clusters and swapping the guts(circuit board) of the clusters. leftd90 mentioned that this may not work though due to different ratios on the gauges. I know the tach would show a different redline but I am not worried about that. I will have to compare the speedometers to see if the ratio is different or if the GXP just has more travel.
