Default crank sensor question

Are aftermarket sensors (carquest, NAPA) any good for our cars?
or should I pay extra for GM?

Proabably about equal quality. Usual warning against a bosch sensor or part. Otherwise.. why not?

I've had an autozone crank sensor (don't know if it had a brand name) for 4 years, no problems. I think it'* guaranteed for life, but not sure.

Agreed. I think we all look at the harder items as more worthy of extra time and money.

Default sensor

guy at Auto Zone said Wells bought out GM sensor Div. so your Auto Zone crank sensor could very well be a GM OEM.
Its $26 bucks and I kinda hate to pour more money into something thats damaged so easily by a belt. Maybe if I design a shield and its protected I would feel better about it.
My broken sensor only had about 22k on it. Ouch......

For something like that, I'd go for the oem replacement.
