Default RH Headlight Assembly Power

I was working on my 2000 SSEi today and installing some HID'*. As I do electrical stuff, I test, check, plug-n-play, verify and then move on. I had got the left hand low HID system installed, using my electrical installation plan-do-check-act as above; and moved on to the right hand side.

I tested connections and cleaned then, verified clean power to the plugs on the connector, check grounds for continuity, installed the ballast, installed the HID bulbs, plugged everything in and fire it up. The right hand side burned for a few seconds and then went dark. Everything went dark - Hi-Lo-Park...all gone!

Went back, unplugged everything, checked the harnesses for pinching, grounding and found nothing. Then checked the RH headlamp harness plug for grounding and continuity - all good. Powered the headlight on and check for voltage at the plug - nothing! Figured....no biggy, blew a fuse.

Two hours later, a bazillion fuses checked, relays pulled and checked, front engine compartment relay fuses checked. NOTHING! I figured ef it...time to re-boot.

Pulled the battery + cable and let the car sit for about 20 minutes. Connected the cable back and viola....the lights are back!

Still not sure what happened. I suspect that a body module relay stuck....anyone ever see anything like this before?

I put the regular bulbs back in and will be getting the wiring harness. I don't like the size of the wires on the ballast draw. After I get the harness installed, I'll look at the power draw and might resize the fuse. I think a 30amp is way too much though.
