weird issue with theftlock in 02 SSEi
Yesterday i had something weird happen with my car. I came home from work and parked in the garage, my radio worked completely fine as usual. I did absolutely nothing to the car over my lunch break, 2 hours later i get back in and start the car. My radio flashes a message, "LOCKED" and remains inoperable for the 10 minute drive back to work. I come back out about 6 hours later and start the car, the radio flashes a message that i think said "CALIBRATING" but i can't remember if that'* the exact word. The radio has worked fine since. I have started the car about 3 times since then and have yet to have this re-occur. Another strange thing is with my Aeroforce gauge, i usually leave it set to "manifold PSI" and "knock retard". the gauge usually stays set to these readings when i turn off then restart the car. When i started the car after work the readings on the gauges both went to Intake temperature. It'* really odd because the radio or the gauge haven't done this since. Has anyone ever had any issues like this with the 00-05'*? does the diagnostic port and radio share a ground or something?

The radio interfaces with DLC. (Data Link Communications) The radio is basically encoded with the VIN. If there is an error, DTC B1001 will be set. Normally you would need a tech II to clear the DTC. When the DTC sets, the radio also may display CALIBRATE, which requires recal. then an off/on cycle. This is an inexplicable glitch so to speak. Some how your radio locked then re-set itself. As for the Aeroforce, I don't have any ideas yet.
