Default Block Heater

ok as you can probably tell from my avatar, i live up north in NY. The winter up here is just starting to kick in and they are very rough and cold. even though it was supposed to be a month ago. but i just wanted to know if i actually had some type of block heater on my car and how would i go about looking for it in the engine bay. i saw it in my owner'* manual and there was supposed to be a cord near the battery where i am to plug it in at but there isn't. could it be somewhere else under the hood? any advice, clues, or solutions would help.

K05 - heater engine block

Odds are that you don't have it. Check for RPO code K05 on the spare tire cover.

If you have one the cord should be wrapped up between the battery and the fender. That'* where it was on mine. I live in Wisconsin and it'* cold here. Mine is plugged in every night. Helps warm up the engine much faster. I'm genereally blowing heat after about a mile or so, unless it'* really cold.

I'm sur eyou could go pick one up. I dont belive their to hard to install. Some of them are just a magnet that you stick on the block.

yea i had seen in the manual that'* where it was. but i heard that there are like 3 different kinds. 1 that plugs into the block, 1 that goes into the oil pan, and 1 that goes into the radiator. but im trying to get the 1 that plugs into the engine block, because i just went outside to start it up and i cant feel my hands!
