Default Interior lights, staying on and flashing with the blinker?

The courtesy lamps and dome lights will autimatically come on while going down the road, sometimes all interior lights flash insync with the blinker when it is being used. Pulled the fuse for now to keep internal lights off but would like to solve this problem. Has anybody had any trouble like this before? help is greatly appreciated. thanks

To make this easier to solve, please put the car you have along with year and trim level in your signature.

the interior light is suppose to come on as soon as you pull the keys out and stays on for a few minutes.. if you close the door and use the FOB.. it should turn off your interior light after you've parked it..

I'm wondering if you have a short somewhere.. pull the fuse out and check both prongs that the light fuse goes to with a voltmeter.. you should read a voltage for one and none on the other.. and then on the one with no voltage.. check for continuaty to see if it'* shorted to ground somehow.. then try that with turn signal on.

I wonder if the lamp control module would influence it or not?

Has the car ever been in an accident, and any wiring messed with? The lights inside run off of switched grounds i believe on the doors. You could have a loose wire, or somethings rubbed and causing a connection somewhere, maybe in the control module suggested.

But that is really messed up... Blinking interior lights.
