The "complete wirind diagram for the complete electrical systems" is a several hundred page manual that sometimes comes in it's own volume. It sounds like you need a Factory Service Manual. You should check Ebay for a used one first. They are around half (45-55 bucks) of what they go for new. You can also do a subscription to www.alldatadiy.com for an online manual. This is $25 for a one year subscription to a specific vehicle. It has provided me with information well since I've subscribed but I'm a little happier using my FSM in book form. If you can't find a used manual, you can order a new one at www.helminc.com. They are about $90-$110 for a new one.

That being said, if you had a specific cuicuit that you needed to look at, I'm sure some members can help you out.

EDIT: Link corrected. Thanks JDB

There is no one diagram, unfortunately; the service manual breaks them out by functional circuit (e.g. interior lights, compass, cruise control, etc.)

How about giving us a big picture to start with:

-- Does it run and drive?
-- What components or options are not working?
-- When you say the dash "doesn't work," exactly what things are not working? Compass? Driver Information Center? Heads-Up Display? Stereo? Gauge backlighting? Gauges? Turn signals?

Sometimes you don't need major surgery, and sometimes the combination of dead items will tell us where the problem is, so give us a little more detail here.

There _is_ a TechInfo article that explains how to remove and rebuild your dash gauge cluster (it's not hard to do when you've got the steps all laid out), but let's figure out if you really need to do all that first.

ok i bought the car from a lot engine had been upgraded and the tranny has a cooler in it runs perfect the entire dash will not power up nothing works on it not even the HUD the sunroof works but the glass is busted out the interior is crap and i have a new interior on the way the soundsystem dosent work either ac controls are shot and so is the cd player and im missing buttons on the steering wheel for audio controls .........i paid 400 for the car and 125 for the title so i got a good deal the motor and tranny are worth that the body is in great condition but it will have to be repainted so thats the story of the car ......this is gonna be my first project car on my own ...i have helped my dad restore 3 GTOs so im still a newbie im not to proud to ask for help

Okay, break it down for us here: tell us if each of the following works or not:

-- Speedometer
-- Tach
-- Other gauges: Temp, Pressure, Volts or Boost
-- Warning lights (ABS, Brake, etc.)
-- Compass
-- Driver Information Center
-- Backlighting of the gauges when lights are on

the soundsystem dosent work either
What unit is in there right now? Does it even look like it's getting power? If it's stone dead, it's more likely that there's no power to it, not that it's busted, because most units nowadays use two or three separate power feeds for different purposes, and even if one power feed dies, the unit will show some signs of life. Are there any speakers? Any audible noise at all, even if it's just a pop when you turn the unit on?

ac controls are shot
Define "shot" for us here: Is it an electronic unit or three knobs? If electronic, does the display light up, and is the temperature display blinking? Do you have heat but no A/C? Does air come out the dash vents at any time, or only at the floor or defroster regardless of what setting you want? Does the blower work?

Sounds good. If you can give us details, we stand a chance of recognizing the problem. Granted, the car's got a lot of them right now, but if you start with the basics, like making sure all the fuses are good (and you've gotta check both under the dash and under the hood on the firewall), we can narrow down whether some component really is bad, or it's only dead because it's not getting any power.

Sounds like a major power distribution problem, and it sounds like you guys are on the right track.
