1995 center console shifter lights
The lights that indicate what position my shifter is in won't eluminate. I took the whole thing apart to look for loose wires etc, except didn't take the light bar itself out and couldn't find anything wrong with it. Also checked for a blown fuse and didn't find any. Can anyone tell me if this is a common problem that might have a fix other than replacing the light bar ($100 at the dealer). The diagram I have isn't detailed enough to show me the inner working of the light bar and shifter unit. Thanks.

What year and trim level is the car? The lightbar is all run off one light at the front of it, kinda in the upper left. If that burned out, then none of the lights would light up. It should be an easy fix.

Like Geoff said... one bulb in a white housing at the front of the shifter assembly right infront of the park
Trips.. do you have a column shifter or console?

Console indicator lamp
On my 94ssei there was a service letter out that stated if you have poor PRNDSL lighing on the console that you should replace the socket with a new one part No. 25647530 and use a #161 lamp with it. The new socket relocates the lamp for better illumination.
