Hello. I performed a search and didnt seem to locate anything so if this a redundant question, I apologize in advance.

The headlight/key reminder has always dinged no matter if the lights are on or off and whether or not the keys are in the ignition or they arent. Some previous reading when I got the car a few months ago had stated that the headlight switch can sometimes be the culprit. I also remember something about this maybe only concerning switches that have the integrated twilight sentinal. Well, the other day we decided to hit the yard looking for a donut spare and I decided to see about snaggin a headlight switch. Found one and as I removed it, I noticed as I unplugged the switch, the harness was noticably overheated and had done a bit of melting. Are the problems with the headlights and the dinger related to a worn out switch, melted harness or possibly both? I was just curious as the incessant dinging when the door is open really drives my wife nuts and it would earn me some good browinie points if I could fix the mf'r.....

I did find a headlight switch harness connector diagram for a 95 SE Bonnie w/out TS. Is this the same as a 94 without the TS?

Doggonit! I know it annoys the hell out of me when people expect folks to be mind readers as well.......lol. I do a few different forums for other things and could have sworn I filled out the sig. for this one...Should be updated now although it really isnt much info. as we are just getting started.........l8r

Bad news.. 94 is one fo the individual years. It does not share a switch with any other year.

Expect 95'* to be melted.. it'* completely normal and the only year that typically did it.

Thanks for the info Bill, much appriciated. I'm guessing that the donor car I got the switch out of was a 95 cuz the harness was melted...grrrr. I kinda want to see the differences in the switches because if its just a matter of moving some wires around to different points on the harness, then thats not a problem. If the switches are totally different in all aspects, then I am gonna have to find the exact switch.
