Lights staying on
Sometimes after using the key fob to lock the doors the head lights will flash but they wont turn off. This also happens, though less frequently, when i just turn the car off and the lights have been on. It does not happen when i lock and unlock the doors manually, but that is becoming a hassle. Im looking at getting an aftermarket alarm system, would that solve the problem or make it worse? I have talked to many specialists about this but none of them seem to have any answers. Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

First off, is there a secondary ring around your headlight switch that is a headlight timer and labeled Twilight Sentinel? If so, confirm it is turned all the way counter clockwise and clicks off. Then test headlights at night.
The sentinel is a light your way after the car is off feature.
Will await results before troubleshooting further.

The twilight sentinel is all the way off. This does not happen all the time but when it does they stay on until the battery dies and there is no juice left. Otherwise i can keep pushing the unlock/lock button on the fob until they turn off. Thanks for your help.

Unlock and Lock have nothing to do with it. It'* just coincidence, but those functions aren't part of the circuit.
Please remove your headlamp switch assembly and inspect the switch body for melting or scorching, and the connector and wires also.
