rear overhead lights wiring in 00+ (LED'*)
I'm in the process of changing the overhead lights from the factory bulbs to custom LED lights using LEDs and LED holders from Oznium.com and then mounting them in Lexan behind the factory clear plastic pieces. The fronts came out quite well but im getting some problems with the back lights mounted in the overhead "oh sh*t" handles. Ive got power to them and they're lighting up but they are not going off when the rest of the lights do. For the fronts i used the factory wiring and plugs and then just wired my LEDS to where the factory bulb + and - were. for the rears i had some issues and am trying to wire the LEDS directly to the wiring that usually plugs into the bulb socket. There are three wires that plug into the factory light bulb holder: blue, grey and black. I can get the lights to come on using a combination of either blue and black, or grey and black. Based on this im assuming that both the grey and blue are positive leads and the black is the ground wire. Problem remains that both configurations do not allow the LED'* to turn off when the rest of the interior lights do. I'm assuming the third wire in the bundle has something to do with the off/on button on the overhead handle but not quite sure how thats going to configure into my application. Does anyone know what the third wires function is?

keep in mind that this is not a simple, On/Off Circuit. The lights are actually computer controlled, and i beleive that this may be your problem. When you put the lights in do you also loose dimming control?
