Default Low on Blinker Oil?

This morning, when coming to work, I noticed that my left turn signals did not work at all when depressing the stalk to signal left. No lights, not a blinking thing!!! The right side works perfectly. When I got to work I checked all the signal lights with the four way flasher and all the lights (right AND left) flashed in unison.
If it'* the Flasher Unit, why would the right side work normally and not the left?

No idea why one side would work and not the other. I'd be inclined to think the switch inside the column is causing an issue. Not sure though. Would need to find someone with your year manual to diagnose it properly.

As mentioned in the other thread about blinkers, the Flasher module operates both the left and right turn signals, so is likely not the culprit. Here'* another fairly recent thread that addresses the same (but right side) issue:

From this, I recommend:

- Check the bulbs in the left side for corrosion, bad contact, or bad filiment (going bad).
- Check the bulb sockets for corrosion
- Check the lamp wiring connections for looseness, partial breaks, intermittent shorts.

Those are my bets.

Oh yeah, the link:

Problem resolved itself, The Blick'n Blinkers worked perfectly on the way home. Right AND Left.

Yeah, it could be a contact in the column that'* causing the, now intermittant, problem. But I hope that is not it.

This weekend should be nice enough to look at all the bulbs, sockets, etc. I'll clean the contacts where I can and put some dielectric grease in the sockets to prevent any corrosion from building up. And I'll make sure that I top off the Blinker Fluid!
