Ignition control module problem.
I have a 1994 SSEI and 2 years ago the ICM went out. Replaced it with NAPA icm and it ran perfect for two years. put car in garage for first time in months due to cold weather and next morning car would not start. Checked ICM with vantage scanner and 3x reference signal was dead. Replaced ICM again with NAPA icm ($157 ) and started right up. shut it off and closed hood and cleaned up tools half hour later started if again for good measure and ran fine. Next morning Wife tries to go to church and no start!!! Checked the 3x reference again and no signal!!!! ARRRRRGGGHHH!!!!!! Is there some reason that this is burning up so qwickly? Has anyone had this happen to them? Please HELP!!!

Alone with what Dan said; there are some possible grounding problems and corrosion you should look for. A poor ground and corrosion will cause premature failure in any electrical system and component.
If I where you I would tear down that whole area and clean All contacts. There is a ground wire under your ICM mounting plate. The plate itself is aluminum with metal mounting bolts going through it.
In fact check all ground points in your car >search for ground bus here> couple grounds inside each fender area>both ends of both battery cables....
Start with these suggestions and get back to us as you find things out
If I where you I would tear down that whole area and clean All contacts. There is a ground wire under your ICM mounting plate. The plate itself is aluminum with metal mounting bolts going through it.
In fact check all ground points in your car >search for ground bus here> couple grounds inside each fender area>both ends of both battery cables....
Start with these suggestions and get back to us as you find things out

OK update on problem, have checked everything. Good ground, continuity of all wires good, all coils are within specs on hi and lo sides crank sensor good, cam sensor good,pcm good,and have installed a new premium module and it too has acted like it was no good. Still no spark. A mechanic was there and verified all procedures and tests before I installed the new mod. Any ideas?

Well, you got me scratching my head here. How close is the battery cable run to the ICM? Small possibility it'* interfering with the ICM. Reroute and see if that helps any.

Have you looked at your ground bus areas?
