Default i got a new one for ya/ HELP!!!!!!!

ive got a 1990 bonneville i just replaced the fuel pump in it cuz it went out it ran great better than when i bought it for 2 weeks now and then last night it messed up again i was on flat ground new blacktop at that and the car died (this is at night too) i had nothing when i turned the key no hazards no lights no power anywhere it was like i was driving and someone unhooked the battery then just like when it died everything came back on i checked the battery its peachy all the grounds are good altinator is good no kroson anywhere so i did a test and turned my lights on with the car running cranked up the stero and turned on the blower on hi and it was fine i hit the brake to put it in gear and it did it again i thik im loosing voltage somewhere and i went through the whole wiring harness and cant find any loose or broken wires please help me

Sounds very much like a poor connection at one of your cables, or perhaps corrosion inside a cable. I've also seen some uncommon instances where a battery post can be broken or cracked INSIDE the battery.

I don't think it has anything to do with you putting it in gear or putting the brake on.

Um, well, that'* a pretty weird symptom all right, but if you can do that repeatedly (i.e. have it all running as described, then slowly press in the brake) and it kills the engine, then that brake pedal is doing _something_.

By any chance do you have an old security system or remote starter, something with a kill switch on it that could be triggered when a Bad Guy steps on the brake? Otherwise, maybe some sort of massive short through the Park release solenoid that lets you shift into Drive after you apply the brake...? (okay, maybe that'* a stretch...)
