Maxifuse/Relay Center ....need relay identification
I have a 1994 Pontiac Bonneville. What is the function of the seven relays in the Maxifuse/Relay Center under the hood. The fuses are labeled but there is no sticker inside the cover defining the relays. I'm trying to see if one of those has anything to do with picking the starter solenoid.

on the subject of the relays
Let me post some additional info. I'm chasing a start problem. Most of the time the car starts fine, but sometimes the starter does not fire up. You can hear relays picking when you turn the ignition switch to "start" so I assume the switch is OK. What you don't hear is the starter solenoid picking and no starter motor running, of course. This leads me to believe it'* one of the interlocks like "transmission in park", etc or the contacts on any "start relay" under the hood. Something in series with the solenoid terminal and 12V is not workingf right. I can connect 12V to the solenoid terminal and the starter will always work but the wife is not too happy about a "start push button" on the floorboard.

When the key is turned to the run position the security light should come on for a few seconds then go out. See if the light is turning off.

Turns out there are no yellow wires in that Maxifuse/Relay Center. The guys at the local Pontiac shop say they don't have a relay diagram. I just left it with a push button switch between the yellow wire from the transaxle position switch and 12V. Works fine, that'* how I would have "fixed it" anyway in the 60s.

My 94 SSEi doesn't have a label under the maxi relay box either. I thought the douche that had it before I did, did something to it (they guy was an idiot that'* why I'm on here all the time). Anyways, I have a similiar problem. My solenoid engages but no starter turn or anything. I first thought it was the negative cable, I got another 1/8" turn out of it, and it worked. Then, 4 hours later, had to pick up my significant other, and it wouldn't start. So today, I turned the ignition on, crawled under the car and touched the starter wire post together with a wrench and Viola, it cranked over and started.
I'm guessing starter relay or ignition switch.
