How do you replace the rear lights above the doors?

I replaced a few bulbs in on my 96' SE since i've had it, the previous owner let a lot die, but there are the two bulbs above the back doors that I just can't get out. At least, I assume they're bulbs..

But anyway. Is there a way to get these out? The back seats are really dark without those, only the floor lights turn on and I can never see my stuff on the seats. I was going to pry one out with a screwdriver but I don't want to be shocked and I don't want it to be permanently stuck so.. Does anyone know how to get these things out?

I believe those bulbs are like this.

You need to pull it straight out.

danthurs, correct me if im wrong, but i believe those lights are the same as the dome lights up front. which have the 2 wires on each side that slide inbetween the contact points.

I believe those bulbs are used all over the car.
