Headlights only work automatically.
Hey, my headlights only work on Automatic. I'm fine by that, but i wonder if when i take it for inspection, will that be a problem for the person inspecting it, if they are not understanding. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Shouldn't be a problem at all. Any inspector worth their grain of salt should know that most modern GM's have automatic headlights. Besides, they only check to see if they come on, not go off.

I'd think there would be a problem. There are times that headlights are required or suggested other than night time.
I'm going to move your topic to the right section, and maybe we can figure it out. But my first guess is a bad headlamp switch. |
Is there a different relay that is activated for the switch or the solar eye?
|
Sounds like pulling and diagnosing the switch is in order. There's very little to go wrong causing the switch not to work.

The lights should automatically come on in the shop, where it is darker than outside.

Definitely the light switch.. mine does that ( I can get parkin lights on, but have to keep pullin and pushin the light switch to get it once in a while to have the headlights come on manually ) .. Tamara's 95 SE had the rheostat fail on her light switch.. Time to stop by the wrecker
