Wha cause this to happen cause after i drive it for a while it is fine with no problem

i start the car and all the guages jump to the extreme red for a while then after a lil driving it goes to what the car is actually reading

define lil bit

on start up the gauges all redline...except the speedo and tach...they are back to normal in about 4-5 seconds

That'* usually normal for our cars when they start up. They all go to one side, then swipe back down to normal.

Sounds almost normal, however it could the the ignition switch, because I believe that is what controls all the accessories to turn off while the starter is cranking. Correct me if I am wrong here..
