Default car cutting out

today my car started cutting out while driving on an incline/ decline it was like the engine would just electrically shut off but no change in dash lights and no ses light? obviously would make the car surge a little continues for about 5 sec off and on and then back to normal , also it only does it once in a while . its got new irridium plugs belden wires new pcv valve , cleaned the maf sensor any ideas would be greatly appreciated and its almost full of gas?also cleaned the coils . it does have a lim gasket and valve cover gasket leak getting fixed next week but I doubt it woiuld cause this .

well i found a plug wire that the boot is cracked in half where it goes onto the coil( by boot I mean the metal piece inside the boot) they are new and under warranty so im gonna trade it out . would that cause mt car to cut out on incline?

No, your car will actually start, run, and drive on 4 cylinders. Might stil beat most Honda'*, too.

Disconnect both battery cables and pull the boots off. I bet you'll find corrosion. This is a common problem with your symptoms. Several cars a year on this Forum find this to be the cause.

That happened to me a few months ago. Engine just died, then started up and died again. Cleaned my battery cables, and all was right in the world again.

One of my cars (the green one) plagued me for awhile. After the 3rd cleaning, I replaced all my cables. Been fine ever since.

I know of several cars here that have done the same.
