Default Customizing Automatic Door Lock

I think I asked this many moons ago.. and that the answer is NO.. TOO BAD.. SO SAD..

Well.. I wanted the car to automatically unlock in park instead of waiting till I shut the car off in park before it unlocks. Can anyone try it? Yes.. I won't let a dieing dog rest

Here'* the info from the manual

mode
0 - No automatic door lock or unlock
1 -all doors automatically lock when shifted out of PARK. No autmatic door unlock
2 -all doors automatically lock when shifted our of PARK. Only the driver'* door automatically unlock when shifted in PARK
3 -all doors automatically lock when shifted out of PARK. All doors automatically unlock when shifted in PARK

Steps:

1. close all doors and turn ignition to on. Keep all doors closed throughout the procedure

2. Press and hold the driver'* power door lock switch thru step 4

3. Press the LOCK button on the remote. The automatic door locks will remain in the current mode ( sometimes it will cycle to unlock instead in my experience )

4. Press the LOCK button on the remote, the mode will advance by one

5. Release the power door lock switch. The automatic door locks will remain in the most recent mode selected

If you're asking if this sstem works, then yes. I have mine set up for no automatic locks, using these same instructions. I'm a big boy. I can decide if I want the doors locked or not.
