Alternator sensor wire
Danthurs (or anybody)...
I have the pigtail for the alt sensor wire, but it was mentioned that a fused wire was also utilized to the post connection.. I'm not knowledgeable in electrical supplies. Can you buy a wire with the fuse already in line? And what rating should the fuse be?
Thanks

Hi Charlie... I didn't fuse the wire directly when I did this. I ran to one of the pink 12+ wires in the loom right behind the alternator. Reason that I didn't fuse is the wires there are already fused.
Andrew Grazela went to the top of the maxifuse center where the power cable comes in and for that location you want a fuse, say 5amps.

you can go to autozone and get a small piece of wire that has a fuse holder then you just add what you need on both sides to make your whole wire

If you follow the write up, ya, use a fused wire because your going right to a battery cable. Like Bill said, 5 amp is fine. Just ask for a in line fuse at your local auto parts store.

Personally, I wouldn't use a fused wire. In my case the voltage I wanted to raise was at the ICM. The ICM gets it'* power from the pink wires I mention. Therefore using those as the sensing area made the most sense to me. It'* easy to see that either option will help, but the question is...where do you want the voltage to be for the wires that supply power to your sensors and ignition?

Bill... I haven't had my FSMs till this weekend. I now can see/get what you're saying about the ICM circuit. Danthurs has a quick write up like what Grazela did.
Whatever I do, thanks to everybody for the hand.
(In other news, P0171 met its match. Combination of a tiny leak in the EGR pipe, an alternator which was hiding the fact it couldn't handle stress, and an egg holed coupler which wasn't being kind to the drive side. LTFT is still wanting to be 16.4. Tuesday, a new FPR (Thanks for another write-up Danthurs), O2 sensor, and measuring injector flows. Crossed fingers, and I get to start mods soon.Yeah.)
