Door Locks Not Working

Hi all. Im a new member but have visited freequently on car info. I have a 92' Bonneville SSE and my door locks don't work. I can open both the driver and passenger door with the key. When I open the driver door thats the only one that unlocks, the rest of them do nothing. Also I have no power to my drivers seat anymore. If anyone knows of the problem I'd appreciate it.

Check your fuses.

right on

the door locks and the Seats share the same fuse

If that is the problem, then you might have to figure out what caused the fuse to go bad.
IF you do have to track the cause of the fuse...
The door locks use a lot of current even for the brief moment. So don't toggle them a bunch while adjusting the seat, and don't let the kids toggle them all day.

Do the door lock switches on the drivers door and or passenger door lock and unlock the car?

Do you have Power at the Passenger seat at all?

where ya just runnin your rear window defroster?? if so thats why...

I dont have any power on either one of the door switches. I changed the fuse earlier but that wasnt the problem. the old one was fine but I put another 20amp fuse in just to be sure. thats didnt help. my defroster works fine, i thought that might've tied in with the power loss to the seat. Im not sure what it is.

If the fuses are good, the next step would be to check for power going to the door lock switch; if you got power to the switch, the next step is to check for power going to the door lock solenoid. If you have power going to both the door lock switch and the door lock solenoid, there's no reason why it shouldn't work unless the linkage rods are jammed up.

that would still not explain why the seats are not working

sounds like someone with a 92 FSM needs to trace the diagrams, and the troubleshooting proceduers for you

I'll have to take it to get looked at. i was hoping it would be something i could've done myself. thanks to everyone for offering suggestions, i'll let you know what the problem was.
