the owners manuel says that the boost needle should be at zero ( centre ) the gage says on the boottom left -70 center- 0 bottom right -70 well mine stays at the bottom left in idle is this fine or is the needle screwed up, thanx

The boost gauge indicates the pressure or vacuum in your intake manifold.
At idle or lift throttle, it will show full vacuum or -70 kPa.
As you put your foot into the throttle and load up the engine, the vacuum will drop (pressure will rise) and the boost will pressurize the intake towards +70 kPa.
It should not normally read 0.
