fog lights

fog lights
ok since june when i got the car, it has blew out atleast 6 fog light bulbs. I'm using silverstars for the brightness. anyone else have this problem and what lights are everyone running?

For some reason (it may be excessive vibration), the 880 SilverStar capsules do not last on the 00+ Bonnevilles. I've read somewhere that Sylvania has stated the SilverStar line of lamps do not have as long a service life as conventional. I've gone back to the conventional 880'*. The other alternative is to do a wholesale replacement of the fog light assemblies with aftermarket fog lights. There are members here at BC that have converted to aftermarket with excellent results. Perhaps they will chime in a little later on.

The 880st'* don't last in any of the stock fog lights. I've lost count as to how many I've been through
