Default I think i have an electircal issue!!! PLEASE HELP!!

I have replaced the battery and starter and im still having problems. Sometimes it seems like the battery is dead. When u try to start it, all u hear is clicks. Then after that u hear a relay for about a minute. Then u hook up the battery to charge, but it reads that its already full and does not need charging. And sometimes when u let it sit for a while and try to start it up again, it fires right up. ITs a 92 ssei. thanks

I had a similar problem with my truck. It might be the battery cables themselves that need to be replaced. It could also be a poor ground connection. Both could cause what you are talking about.

Do you have one of those special keys with the resistor on them?

Mine has that, and sometimes my car won't start. it just clicks. This is usualy because it has a bad or dirty connection. Make sure that resistor is in good shape, cause without it, you can't start your car.

I had a problem like yours too...AND yes it was the cables...although they looked fine and the connections were tight, the ring inside the plastic/rubber covers was broken...sometimes it made connection , sometimes not...That on took a while to figure out...I discovered this after I stripped out the threads on my side post batt..I have both side and top post connection battery, so I was going to "rig" it to go to the top post, so I removed the cover on my cable and wha'la...there it was...a broken ring...

Um... if the VATS does not detect the correct resistor in your key, you will _not_ get a click from the solenoid; you will get only dead silence, and a "Security" light on your dash blazing away for three minutes before the system resets and lets you try again. Triggering VATS will kill the fuel pump and the starter-enable relay.

In the case of the original problem, I would suggest checking all battery cables at _both_ ends of each cable for loose or corroded connections. (Loose ones I think are more likely here.)

I agree ,check battery cables at both ends especially inside the ends which house the battery side terminal bolts. These plastic ends can hide alot of corrosion. And speaking of these damn side terminals,I once got the "click" and was ready to drop the starter .Headlights were good and bright. The terminal bolts were tight but not tight enough as it snugged up just a tiny fraction of a turn.Started right up.And the terminals were clean. They oughta shoot the bast*** that invented these.
