Guages
The guages on the bonne work sometime and sometime they don't. I have read the techinfo article on this, but I just want to check and make sure that removing the cluster is needed. I pulled up the wires along the driver door and they were damp when I first pulled them up. I dried them (didn't notice any corosion or rust) and the guages seemed to work everytime I tried them for an hour or so (engine was still being replace at that time so it wasnt driven).
Shortly after completing the engine swap the guages started working sometimes and sometimes not again. I have checked the wires and they are all dry and the connector is good. So now I have to remove the cluster and re solder any bad looking connections and clean everything up back there correct? I'm not missing anything that could keep me from having to remove the cluster am I? I pulled the cluster out of my old bonne and I broke the connector. I don't want that to happen again so if I can avoid pulling the cluster I would like to.

You do it and say.. "Wasn't bad"
Most things are relatively easy and merely require the necessary first turn of a screwdriver to get them started.

Stupid guages are back to only working when they want to. All the connections and solder points looked good on the boards though. So I'm gonna re check the wiring before I go and pull the cluster out again. The whole process took close to 2 hours last time so hopefully I don't have to do it again.

Only the speed and tach work all the time and the SES/dummy lights. Everything else comes and goes randomly... all of them come on at the same time and go out at the same time however.
