Default Fuse/Wire Limitations

This may sound strange but lets say the factory fuse is a 15 amp fuse if i upgraded to a 20/25 amp fuse is there a danger of electrical fire or is 15 amp only to be used.

Lets test BC'* speed i leave in 15 minutes can we get a answer before then......

Don't go higher than 15 amps. The wiring is gauged for that size fuse.

I would recommend not over fusing a circuit. The ampacity of the wiring is what governs the rating of the fuse. What is it you want to upgrade?

Blowing my fuse for my dash lights/running lights usually takes a few days. Figured if i tried a 20 amp it might stop it from blowing. But seems like may be a bad idea.

Sorry got 3 minutes now....... Great reaction time

Too late to meet your deadline, but if it takes that long, and it'* just an annoyance now, instead of over-fusing (never a good idea) replace the fuse with a self-resetting circuit breaker. You'll have to do some extra wiring as it'* too big to fit where the fuse is.

I finally tracked down the gremlin in my wiring and yes Will was right it is my switch but its weird how it works. If the twilight sensing function is on and i adjust the brightness of the dash lights then it pops the fuse. If the twilight sensing is off then it takes a few days for it to pop.

Time for little more surgery this weekend to fix the problem.
