Fan blows even when the car is off
EDIT i just found this link http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...&highlight=fan which relates if someone would link this. My bad for not finding it before posting.
Hey everyone,
My fiance just purchased a certified used 2002 grand prix and we are having an odd problem. A few times now we have gotten out of the car, with everything fine, she locks it and when we get back, the interior fan is blowing at what seems to be high. the first time her fan setting had been at high when we got out of the car, but i swear the fan turned off. the second time her fan was set to the lowest setting and it was deffinately blowing high when we got back into the car.
First question is, do you guys have any idea as to what could be causing this?
Bad Relay? Short ?
What would cause this to come back on after we have exited the car? faulty issue with the door lock that is somehow triggering the fan?
second question, the car is under the gm extended warrenty, we called and got the response, we need to have it happen more often to even get them to look at it. Am I missing something here? If I feel there is an issue, shouldnt they try to fix it?
Thanks everyone for your time!
Randy
