Default Heat/AC problems keeps going on and off and now nothing.

I have a 97 bonneville se that the blower fan qould work spuratically, running fine one day then the next it wouldn't do a darn thing then all the sudden it would come on. I get good heat and cold air. I took out the blower motor and jumpered it and it turned right on so they I went to the relays they are both getting proper voltage and power and check out normal with a ohm/volt meter. I've checked every connection, fuse, wire, absolutely everything that would have to do with the system and it all checks out fine. Could the actual control pannel be the problem, it'* all digital and everything works on it, I can lower the temp and it will get cool and vice versa I just don't have air movement. As long as I drive on the highway the car gets warm enough to tolerate but city driving it stays cold. Any ideas?

Is there any chance the brushes are going bad inside the motor and movement / jaring / vibration can sometimes let them make contact?

so, when it is supposed to be on, it does nothing, but if you jumper it without removing it or banging it around, it starts right up?

when you have it on, and the blower doesn't work, do you have power at the connector?

Exactly! Yes power at the connector is there.

sounds like the brushes in the blower might be bad.

Is there any chance you can get a different blower just to try out and see?

I could, I just don't understand how that would effect it, I mean if it'* jumpered and works just fine wouldn't that be a power problem somewhere that'* not getting to the blower motor?

You have power to the blower, but it does not run right? but if you bring another source of power, it runs no problem?

Let me get someone else in here also that might have more answers

It sounds to me like possible bad brushes in the motor, but I could be wrong and I don't want you to go out and buy one and waste your money
