Default Another Sensor Question...will it ever end ??

I have noticed that my oil pressure guage is right at the max and sometimes bounces back to normal then goes funky jumps around maxs out. I am thinking its a oil pressure sensor?? The oil has been changed recently and everythings tight....oil level is right on the mark.........

Anyone else run across this one ?? :?

Could be short in the wiring as you describe it coming back to normal now and then. I had to change my oil pressure sensor this spring, it pegged to max and never came back down, pricey bugger too.

the senders are known to go bad on these cars, and peg the gague to the max

Hey Gizmo...what car do you have?

BTW that is exactly how my gauges were when I picked up my car. Ended up part of the cluster was bad. There is a circuit board and something on it goes bad.
