Default Traction Off Light

My car has been sitting for about 2 months because it is being modded and recently was painted. I took it out for a drive last night and noticed that the traction off light was on. I tried to turn the traction back on but it doesn't go back on and the light stays on. The indicator on the button also does not light up after being pressed. Any ideas as to what may be the problem? I'm thinking maybe a wheelbearing sensor? Maybe the TCM is toast? There is no ABS light on, i'm assuming that ABS and TCM are controlled by the same system, at least this is what the local GM technician told me.

Any input?

Matt

check the wheel speed sensors, unplug the connector and look for any corrosion or moisture build up.

that would also make the ABS light go on.
