Default rear view mirror wiring diagram

I picked up an auto dimming rear view mirror at the junk yard today. My car has no wires for the mirror. There are 3 wires : red w/stripe, green w/stripe, black
Im going to tap into the dome light wiring, im pretty sure red is power and black is ground, but whats green? There are no lights in this mirror.
Also, does this mirror have a compass built in too?
AND the problem with this mirror is that it has a golden hue to the glass, is there a mirror i could find that is more of a clear colour? I figure I can just swap another one in easily once the wiring is in.

the Pink/Stripe is your power and the Black is ground....you will not use the Green wire

you need to get the Pink/Stripe it a KEYED 12v power source and then the ground is obvious

thats exactly what I needed to know, thanks guys
but why would there even be a wire connecting the mirror to the reverse light circuit?
does this mirror have a compass in it? if not where would I be able to get one that does?

The auto dimming rear view mirror, with compass and exterior temperature, in my '05 Bonneville has only works intermittently. I suspect a poor electrical connection somewhere. Any ideas where to look?

it seems pretty self contained as far as sensors being in the mirror, so if the display doesnt go out then your power to it and ground has to be good and its likely something in the mirror itself

The problem is that there is only power to the mirror occasionally. When there is power to the mirror, everything works fine.
