94 SSEi Fuse problem

Alright its not a big deal cause it costs about 3 bucks a week to fix the problem.

But i have a fuse cant remember the number i think its 6-c or 6-d location wise in the box. But it controls my running lights/dash lights as well as a little buzzer that wont stop buzzing when i open the door. I can replace the fuse everything works great for about 2-3 days then it will pop. Replace fuse same thing happens. Advice would be great thanks in advance

fuse

Kinda odd that it lasts 2 or three days before it pops. Could it be something on the circuit that is shorted and not used that often? Best bet is to unplug each of the components on that ciruit one by one and see which one pops it. Trouble is it doesnt happen right away.
Also could try placing a circuit breaker in that spot.

yes one of my biggest troubleshooting problems would have to be intermitent(sp) problems. I took two years of electronics in high school so im average on working with these wires. But i tried just about every button/fuse combination on the car and i cant get it to pop just kinda does it on its own. And i have not heard or smelled it when it does it. Cause it only blows it during the day when i dont have those lights on for any reason.......

Sorry little bit of rambling/run sentences up above sorry if it makes anyones head hurt.

This was the problem I told ya about, go out at night and start up the car, turn the headlights on and move the dimmer back and forth, the fuse should blow like it did to me. It seems that there was a short in the parking lights or backlighting circuit.

i already tried it and replaced the headlight switch. It wont blow when dimming and turning on and off it was the very first thing i tried lol.

Pinky...did this start happening after you painted the pink underhood area or was it existing before hand as well?

I'm thinking there's a partially pinched wire under the hood.

Hmm nope, no wires pinched, I am really careful about that stuff. This happened when I first got it. Markviiisvt4 never thought anything of it, he thought it was a bad switch, but I guess not.

You say it happens when the brightness for the dash is adjusted?

I'd pull the cluster, look under the dash etc..

I spent about 2 hours on wednesday pulling fuses and tryin different combos and adjusting the lights brightness and dimming. It just randomly blows after a few days. But i could not for anything get it to blow when i was tryin to make it blow.

Hmmm i just thought of something i didnt try the Twilight Sentinel auto headlight thing on.
