94 SSE - Lost the DIC and Compass

On my way to work this morning...started the car and both came up. But when I was on the insterstate and happened to look down...something didn't look right. Then I noticed I lost both the compass and the DIC. I pulled over, shut the car off, restarted...they flickered for a split second then shut off again. :?

All the gauges work...just no way of telling what direction I am pointed or what door is open...

Anyone got any suggestions?

Hmm sounds similar to me, except my DIC flickers until the car warms up. My compass always points SW no matter what, Could be because of the subs in the trunk.

Brad, rip that sucker out. Mine did that when I got it (the 93) and simply removing and cleaning up the cluster did the trick.

My trip odo occasionally still resets itself though. Gotta tear it out again.

I let it cool down a bit (cool down as in I had the heat flowing into the cabin this morning), restarted...and they came back.

If I gotta rip that cluster out...it will have to wait about month

cluster

Mine did the same thing on the 90 SSE. After ripping it out three times I finally found the green harness assembly wire had a break in it. I made a jumper wire and all has been good since.
It connects the compass to the DIC via a flat green translucent wire assembly.
