3rd Brake Light does not work.

no power going to the wires when pedal is pressed.

All other lights/brake lights work fine. We can rule out the switch on the brake pedal.

anyone have a wiring diagram? Is there a seperate fuse than the other lights back there?

Hans - which car?
Bill - what year is the diagram for?

BLACK94SSEi 03-05-2007 07:24 PM

I'm assuming 98 on both. Hans hasnt messed with that 93 or posted about it lately. ;)

BillBoost37 03-05-2007 08:07 PM

Mike.....he's talking the 98, the diagram is 98 ;)

Technical Ted 03-05-2007 08:16 PM

OK - just wanted to make sure. Looks like all the brake lights get power from the same source. Some of the earier years had 2 contacts in the brake switch.

Hans 03-05-2007 08:20 PM

what is P408?

BillBoost37 03-05-2007 08:35 PM

A rubber grommet

BillBoost37 03-05-2007 08:36 PM

IIRC it's probably on the driverside by the wheel well where the wires are routed through the grommet into the trunk.
