1997 Sunfire airbag light stays on...
My buddy changed the clock spring in the steering column because my horn quit working. Now the horn works fine, but the airbag light stays on. He took the steering column apart again and tested the airbag circuit. Even though the airbag light stays on, he said that the airbag circuit is working. Can the airbag circuit still function if the light stays on? Thanks...

i think what hes getting at is there is a weight sensor in the pass seat so it sees some weight but not over a certain limit that would be an adult sitting there it turns on the light. it may have come unplugged or is bad or the connections are corroding

The thing is... before my buddy changed the clock spring, the airbag light was off. He said he tested the airbag (I don't know how) and says it is fine... even thought the light is on? I really don't care if the light is on as long as the airbag will work if I need it to.
