100w H3 not so bright?

like it says, the 100w H3 ulbs in my driving lamps dont seem very bright, they look about equal or weaker than than my high beams, any idea why? oh and their power source is straight from the battery

GAMEOVER 01-14-2005 09:50 AM

what kind of driving lights are you runnning?

NERV 01-14-2005 10:11 AM

cyberwhite 100w h3

NERV 01-14-2005 10:12 AM

oh and the actual lights are proburners, theyre clear lense so no blue filter to dim the light

CFoote 01-14-2005 05:45 PM

Try re-aiming the actual lights...and don't blind on-coming traffic.

NERV 01-14-2005 06:22 PM

well they are aimed fine, and they help with illumination, but they look about half as bright as they shud be

Greyhare 01-17-2005 01:02 PM

Wattage and brightness are not a direct relationship, 100w is not twice as bright as 50w.
What guage wire are you using? I wouldn't use smaller than 14ga, 12ga would be more than enough.

NERV 01-17-2005 03:33 PM

i think it;s 18 guage, i have some spare 12 guage so ill switch that out and see if ti makes a difference
