I tried to send a link but, it didn't happen. 
They are white and I don't want to blind on coming traffic. The cops here in South Carolina are strange about lights! No neon or lights on wiper,valve stems. I hope I'm okay . I din't spend much money but, don't need a ticket. I'm not sure what you mean by " Drop in'*"

My guess is that they are probably just Xenon filled 9006 bulbs. HID capsules would be lot more expensive than any filament powered bulb.

basicly, yes.
A drop in kit would be a HID bulb that is designed for a projector but the bulb is rebased onto a 9005/9006 base so that it is plug and "play" in stock HL. (obviously you still have to wire the ballasts and other stuff up)
The problem with those are that halogen HL housings are not designed for HID bulbs. The HID bulb puts out light at a focus point where a regular halogen bulb does not. This creates a LOT of glare which is blinding to on comming drivers and it also results in a shitty pattern on the ground, and really doesn't help you see anything because there is no focus to the light.
