Default Detailed my moms truck.

I spent the day washing, polishing, and waxing the inside and outside my mom'* 2009 Chevy Colorado. I wanted to get the wheels (they are the aluminum with a plastic piece attatched that'* painted chrome) fixed up, as they were extremely water spotted. My dad helped me find something, this little polish called Never Dull. But, since my dad came up with the idea late in the day, I only got one wheel done. That one wheel looks a whole lot better now. I'll finish up tomorrow, and get before and after pics, as well as pics

I know I was thinking about creating this thread last night, but I thought I changed my mind. I knew I was going to do the pics this morning, and then make this thread. Either way, I thought I had the whole title typed out. Kinda embarrassing...

Anyways, here are the pics. I still need to finish up the passenger side wheels and do some tire shine. Other than that, the truck is pretty much done. Also, I know I need to use a better camera when doing these pics. I was going to get the water spotted wheel, but the pic quality made it hard to tell the difference between the polished wheel and the water spotted one.

Thanks. The next thing is getting some Dr Colorchip and touching it up. That truck sure is a nice color when you keep up on it.

It handles fairly decent. This particular one is a 5-cylinder, and has the appearance package. My mom had a 2003 S10 that we traded in for a 2007 Silverado. She couldn't stand having a truck that size, and my dad doesn't like her borrowing his cars, so he took her in and traded the Silverado for the Colorado.

Her main issues were parking (still an issue, no matter which vehicle she drives), and at the time, I was still in high school, and she'd also pick up her friend'* daughter from the middle school. Both parking lots are tedious to get through, even with people parking properly, but you'd have idiots taking up the whole road. The middle school parking lot was hell when you throw in the morons.

But, we never really needed that much truck anyways. Our main uses is transporting yard waste and taking in cans for recycle. Sometimes, we have other uses, but it'* mostly just there for the main uses. Either way, it'* nice having a truck as an option for anything if we need it.

sounds like a good little truck, good thing she went with that appearance package, i dont much care for the black plastic fender flares on those things, being color matched like hers looks waaay better
