Window tint that is much lighter on the inside looking out that outside looking in?

Hi,

Anyone know of any window tint that is much lighter on the inside looking out that outside looking in?

Someone told me they made something like this, but I can not find it...

Thanks as always!

Try looking for polarized tint. That's the only thing I can think of.

They make several "mirror" finished tints that do this. Check local laws and/or your willingness to flaunt them. I had a "ice" finish that wasnt to dark to look through on the inside, but impossible to see thru in on my LaCrosse. I had it only on the rear window which is open to anything in NY where I lived at the time.

The mirror tint was one thing I was thinking of also, but it seems to me that the stuff is either 1) hard to find, 2) nobody wants to install it cause it's a bear to put on right or 3) illegal in most states. I though I remember reading about a polarized window tint at one time, and that's where my poached little brain ended up on it's thinking train. Thanks Venom!

I know here in Washington, mirror tint is a big no-no.

The ice is like mirror, but it refracts the light into the rainbow colors depending on the angle your seeing the reflection. If you walkaround the car, you see them all. I got some comments, but as mentioned, in NY like alot of States, the 3 rear windows dont fall into the tint laws. Now that I'm in PA, I'm just biding my time,..... they dont allow any tinting.

Try Lumar Platinum Fifty. It has a slight mirror, nothing heavy though. I had 20% on My Grand Am and it was harder to see in than it was out. Sunny days the mirror was easy to see, cloudy days not so much. Unless Rainbows are your thing..
