whats a good price for painting a grill

I have some guy that will match the color with gm "authorized" paint or whatever for 90 bucks.

That includes all sanding a possible prep work and 2 coats then a clear coat or 2

I guess I can attempt to do it myself as well, that would be color matched and all that good stuff.

For $90 he better put more than 1 coat of clear. If he's a really experienced painter and could do it perfectly and you wouldn't mind paying for the convenience of having it done, then go for it. But you could always try yourself as there's people here that can help you if you need it. If it doesn't work out then you could have the guy paint it. I took on painting for the first time (with the green one) and with a little practice projects I easily did whole fenders by myself with normal paint cans. A grill would be a good starting project. :)

i think i'll do it myself, and besides...dad has a bit of expierance with auto paint in the garage...nothing major like a whole body panel or anything but...yeah

90 bucks sounds about right...i remember i had to get my side view mirror painted for my car and it cost close to 50 bucks alone for just materials...or it might have been 40 either way its a lot
