Waxing before Oiling?

I was wondering if i should wax my car before i get it oiled or wait til after it's been oiled?
I just bought a new polisher and can't wait to try it, but my car goes in for oiling in a few weeks.

Oiling? :?

Never heard of oiling before. :?
Or is that like rust proofing?
Otherwise I say wax your car just to wax it, winter is just around the corner!

Oops! Sorry yes i mean Rust Proofing. I plan on putting a coat of wax on it before winter but need to know if i do it before or after?

Where are they rust proofing? The frame of the panels? I wouldn't wax before the rustproofing is on. It may come off easier if it is stuck to the wax and not the car itself.

I'll suggest wax the paint as normal, as i expect you don't want rust proof on that..

Thanks. My major concern was after they're done rust proofing you always get a light film of oil on the body, they do wash it after they're done, but we know it won't be the best wash job. I'll wax it first

Grab a claybar kit or two. That'll help get deposits off. A good degreaser (dish soap) should get the crap out too.

I had visions of a couple hotties rubbing tanning oil on your car.

Sorry.

In the NW, we don't have salt, so I'm not too familiar with rustproofing. I'd assume they use a product that won't damage paint, so I'd go with SSEi95 and say don't wax, as it may not adhere. There are painted surfaces under the rocker panels and wheelweels that you'll want rustproofing to stick to.
