tried a new plastic polisher
got it a walmart. I needed something for the 92. the clear piece over the instrument panel was badly damaged from wifes cig smoke. now that the youngest is going to be driving the car, I tore out the interior to power wash the carpet, clean the center console, repair pass seat, and just get rid of stench.
I'm sorry I didnt take before and after pics, but the difference was opague and clear.
10 bucks, not cheap, but easy to use. just spray a mist of water on a sponge and let the drill to the work. the wife will be pissed when she sees it. I told her it wasn't worth fixing while she was driving the car.
the 2 pads left (six in the box) should do the gp'* front lenses.

They wouldn't do much for my headlights, otherwise I'd give them a shot.

ya, they say they work on glass, but I doubt it. It did wonders on the clear plastic piece though. and it did take more than 5 minutes.

Those are probably more intended for small surface problems and mostly stains on the surface, not so much chips and dings, which would require a lot of filling/sanding.

I have the glass version of those.
It'* making a difference...no doubt at all.. I haven't had the time to dedicate to it. Kit says scratches in the glass can take up to an hour or two to polish out...
